Improving AI Select

It often happens that neither “Subject Selection” nor “AI Select” selects all areas of an object.

When I then hover the AI Select brush over the missing area (mouse over), the missing area is highlighted in red. However, when I click on this area to confirm the selection and add it to the mask, it doesn’t appear in the mask afterward. Sometimes clicking multiple times helps, but most of the time it doesn’t work, and I have to mark the area manually with a brush.

I don’t understand why an area is highlighted when I hover over it but isn’t then added to the mask. This needs to be fixed urgently.
