Option to disable face detection

Retouch Face may be a useful feature for many photographers, but face detection should be optional, not something that runs automatically without a way to disable it.

Please add a setting to turn off face detection entirely, ideally with this feature disabled by default. Photographers who find it useful could simply enable it when needed, while everyone else could enjoy a faster, uninterrupted workflow.

In my case, I work professionally with the digitization of artworks, archives, and historical photographs. I often capture thousands of images, including glass plate negatives over 100 years old. Capture One now appears to analyze every image and search for faces, even when this serves absolutely no purpose. Since the update that introduced face detection, my tethered workflow has become noticeably slower, with the macOS spinning beach ball appearing after each shot.

But this is not just an issue for archival digitization. Any photographer working in a fast-paced tethered environment, shooting products, architecture, still life, landscapes, or other subjects where face detection is unnecessary, could benefit from being able to disable it.

Even photographers who love Retouch Face should support this request. Being able to switch a feature off does not make it less useful; it gives users control over when it runs and what resources it consumes.

Please give us a simple toggle to disable face detection. No one should have to upgrade their computer or compromise their workflow because of a feature they do not need.
