Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
When I’m working in a user collection (album or smart album), the context menu only offers “Remove Variants”, which removes the image from that album. There’s no option to delete the file entirely from there.
This is a problem for files created by mistake, for example a PSD round-trip via “Edit With” exported with the wrong settings. To get rid of such a file I have to leave my album, find the image in All Images or the folder, delete it there, and then empty the Catalog Trash. That breaks my workflow and makes it easy to miss duplicates.
Request:
Please add a context-menu option in albums and user collections, e.g. “Delete from Catalog…”, with this description:
“Removes the image from all albums, folders and collections in this catalog and moves the original file to the Trash on your hard drive.”
It should show a confirmation dialog that lets me choose between “Remove from catalog only” and “Move file to Trash”, like when emptying the Catalog Trash.

Current workaround
Return to Capture One. The image now shows as offline or missing. Either delete it manually from the catalog or right-click the parent folder → Synchronize so Capture One registers the missing file and removes it. |
