DAMS

What problem do you see this solving?

My clients are architects, general contractors and, of course, their clients, which are some levels of government. We use MS Teams along with MS SharePoint, and while it might not be the best way of doing DAM, it is light and, most of all, easy for my clients to use. So, it's my firm's preference to either find or have a plugin created or, even more straightforward than that, have someone point out what I am missing in getting both applications to talk to each other. BTW, we also use MS One Drive, which is an immense help since we could be on location for a week or more, and One Drive enables us to do secure nightly backups.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality or specific tool?

I find it a challenge as it increases my in-office workflow instead of being in the field shooting.

Current workaround

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?

I haven't found any software-based applications that are seamless and secure.

A DAM generally provides a lot of features - keywords, metadata, ratings, color labels, filtering by any combination of one or more of these things.

Can you provide more details on how OneDrive or SharePoint Online provide these DAM features for you? To my knowledge they are just file storage services. OneDrive works with a local client app as you know. You can export files from Capture One into a OneDrive folder. The client app will sync them up to Microsoft when a connection is available. I think SharePoint requires you to use a browser and drag-n-drop files to upload them.

Can tell describe in more detail how you would imagine Capture One integrating directly with these services? With the OneDrive app already doing its job I am trying to understand how a direct integration in Capture One would improve your workflow.
