What problem do you see this solving?
I did a product shot and needed to match the colours of several objects for which I used a very finessed (and long worked on) mask. Then I generated a PSD to do some fine retouching and after that I came back to C1 to apply the mask on the PSD file before exporting, but the mask doesn’t match 1 to 1. It is a little shifted and I need to MOVE the mask a little bit to make it match the product in question.
I am trying to match the colours I brought out using the RAW file in C1 (for it’s colour editing capabilities), and apply them to a finished PSD file, after cleaning up the picture in Photoshop. But I want Photoshop to be my last step, so I can do the majority of the work on my RAW files, and just use C1 to color-match before exporting.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Today
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? As far as I can tell, and from reading other requests, there is no other workaround than to either create a selection mask in Photoshop and do the colour editing there (which is annoying because I already matched the right colours in C1). the only other solution will be deleting the mask and drawing it in AGAIN, costing me MUCH more time!! |
Ahh, ok. I always wondered what that was but never took the time to look into it (thought its possible I did know but completely forgot - it's happened more than once before :-) )
Well, there you go, I've learned something too! So a "thank you very much" to you too
That dot has never popped up when drawing a mask.
To activate it, I had to click on the Mask Visibility Settings icon on the upper left corner of the viewer, and activate "Display Selection Points"
So yeah... not intuitive 😉
You're welcome!
But how to activate it? What do you mean? Doesn't the orange dot show as soon as you draw or create a mask or whenever the cursor is in Brush mode? Or is there something else you need to do? If so, it was a total fluke on my part
Thank you very much!
In the 5 years I have been using C1, I had never seen that dot and I had to Google how to activate it.
Not intuitive at all 🙈🙈
You already can move the mask.
An orange dot appears at the starting point of the mask when the cursor is in Brush mode and held over the image in the Viewer, which you can click and drag around. The orange dot does not appear when the cursor is in Select (diagonal arrow) or Pan (hand) mode.
