Switch between mask modes when using feather or refine (M and alt-M)

What problem do you see this solving?

Using M on your keyboard and then alt-M switches between mask modes, this is only possible when not using feather or refine. I would like to be ableto use this While using feather and refine as it gives me more precise control over the mask before i press apply

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

All the time, have to press apply and then adjust mask again
