Open/Save/Import dialogs

Some areas of the interface in C1 are woefully time consuming and just plain dumb. I understand that being a cross platformprogram, some of theimportant interface elements like file navigation are going to be rubbish but theycould be improved and a huge amount of time saved for the user.

My import routine runs a bit like this: Create a folder and get all the images into the folder. Make an internal folder called exports. I then open C1 and the fun begins - or not if you are in a hurry. The first thing is to make a new catalog in this new folder. To do this, you have to do some tedious non-OS standard navigation to the newly created folder. Wouldn't it save time if the Catalog name hadn't already been entered that C1 assumed the name of the enclosing folder? Or if the folder is created within the initial dialog, that the new folder name was offered as the Catalog name?

Ignore that for a while. I now go to import the images and instead of being offered the location of the catalog, I'm offered the last folder used to import images. Surely the catalog location would make more sense? It would certainly save time.

The same happens on export and any other dialog. The method of selecting the export location is so OS non-standard that if you use other software from time to time, the C1 approach is so non-intuitive, it needs relearning every time.
