Importing into frequently used sessions

What problem do you see this solving?

I have multiple sessions, of which I frequently (re)use. For the problem, let's talk about two session case. One session is for family photos of my grandson. When I import into this session, I setup a sub-folder based the image date, and I set the filename to the image date + counter. For the second session, I have the import use a sub-folder with a prefix and then a number (cs-465, for example), and the file name will have the same prefix and use Job Identifier + counter (e.g. cs-465-001.nef).

At the end of my workflow, I export, and I just pick the recipe and the output folder will already use the same sub-folder, as was used for the import. Perfect and simple.

The problem, is that when I switch back and forth between sessions, doing imports each day or every couple days. I have to set the sub-folder and at times the Job-Identifier to be used, as it always defaults to the last use, regardless of selected session. This information does not get saved with a session template either, so I have to make sure that the import sub-folder and file naming are correct for the session that I'm working on. This gets worst, with more sessions that may used different naming schemes and doing multiple imports.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

Happens all the time, and makes my workflow slower as I have to make sure (and possibly change) the import settings, every time I import. I'll even get cases where I forgot, and then have a batch of photos named incorrectly, and in the wrong folder name.

Current workaround

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?

No known workaround. I have to just be diligent with doing my import setup every time.
