Favourites Database needs to be optimised or rewritten. Favourites are one of the great features of Capture One. I personally will sometimes use Favourites so I can filter across "All Images". The problem is capture one doesn't handle favourites very well in the backend. Having more than about 10 folders as favourites noticeably affects performance. The problem is so bad that I once completed a digi job on my own windows PC where we finished the day off with over 20 favourites (i didn't want to, but photographer insisted on favourites instead of just folders). At the end of the shoot I gave a couple drives to production and 1 to the photographer. I got a call a day later saying the session was crashing on the photographer's macbook pro after a few clicks. I remembered the impact favourites have on performance so I suggested trying to remove some folders from favourites. And it worked.....
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Every time I've used capture one since 2017.

I avoid using favourites as much as possible. Or I only use favourites toward the end of an edit.
