Your update is not good enough.
The Sony A7V has been out since December 2, 2025. It is now mid January 2026 and Capture One still cannot even open the RAW files. That is unacceptable for professional software that people rely on to make a living.
I do not need the “best possible experience.” I do not need refined color science, optimized profiles, or perfectly tuned performance. I need basic functionality. I need to be able to import the files, view them, and make fundamental edits. That is the bare minimum.
Right now your response is essentially "be patient while we polish things". Meanwhile real photographers are stuck unable to deliver work to clients. This delay is costing people time and money. Every day that passes without support forces professionals to find workarounds or abandon Capture One entirely.
Adobe had support ready almost immediately. Other software options can at least open the files. Capture One, a platform marketed specifically to professionals, cannot.
At this point usability matters far more than perfection. Release basic support now and improve it later. That is how professional tools are supposed to work.
Please stop giving vague forum replies about passion and attention. Give a real timeline, or give us at least minimal compatibility immediately.
Why has it been two month of no update? Why, in comparison was canon's rollout much smoother? We have been paying for a studio sub for two months and I havent even been able to use the program for work. How can this be allowed? Your team keeps parroting that youre working hard on this, but the fact that this is subscription based means you're profiting intentionally while not allowing us to use the program. Its laughable when in contrast, lightroom file editing works just fine. Get your shit together dude, ive had a $3000 paper weight for going on two months because of your company

We cannot keep waiting.
