I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding an issue that has been ongoing since January 21st.
On that date, I photographed a padel match using the new Sony A7V camera. As a Sony Mexico Ambassador, I was asked to produce a review for the launch of this camera. Because I have been a long-time and loyal Capture One user, the expectation from Sony was that I would fully leverage Capture One’s well-known strengths in color science and dynamic range when working with these images.
Unfortunately, as of today, March 4th, I have not been able to open or read a single RAW file from this camera in Capture One, even after installing the most recent update.
This situation is becoming quite urgent for me. My work involves testing and showcasing new Sony equipment, and reliable software support is essential for me to complete these assignments properly.
I have always considered Capture One the best tool for professional color work, which is why I have recommended and used it for many years. However, if this compatibility issue cannot be resolved soon, I may unfortunately have to move my workflow to Lightroom simply to ensure I can work efficiently with the latest Sony cameras.
I would truly appreciate if someone from your team could review this case and provide a more personalized response or update regarding support for the Sony A7V RAW files.
