Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
What problem do you see this solving?
The ability to trigger a predefined custom exposure sequence would be greatly helpful for a variety of workflows, specifically those shooting architecture, interiors, or product, however the use cases are probably endless. Hassleblad's Phocus software and the CamRanger hardware/software have this ability and it is super useful for setting up a custom exposure bracket. Being able to trigger a set of exposures that could stop motion at a higher ISO then immediately trigger a low ISO exposure bracket would be incredibly useful for a composited shot of a person walking through an interior space. (ie. ISO 3200 @ 1/200 F/11 to stop the motion, then ISO 100 @ 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125 @ F11 to capture the various surfaces in the space). I'd like to be able to achieve this by selecting a custom sequence I've built out in the tool menu, then attributing a keybaord shortcut to it so I only have to press one key to set off a series of exposures. The ISO, shutter and aperture should all be able to be custom set for each exposure. The ability to add a custom delay between shots would be useful as would a semi-auto style trigger where each frame is triggered by a shutter release (cmd + K).
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
The lack of this feature slows my tethered workflow down a great deal. I don't want to have to purchase a third party product like CamRanger in order to build out a set of exposures that can be triggered with one keystroke.
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? I've hot foldered a Phocus capture folder into Capture One which is janky at best. |
