Live for Studio on iPad is slow, very slow. Offer a high speed mode which does not generate a full resolution preview.
Current workaround
The only work around is to use a wireless HDMI transmitter. Significantly more reliable and much faster. The “con” to this approach is control, the viewer cannot swipe through or rate images.
I had a private network with my own independent router and no one else was connected to it. There were only two iPads connected, both newer 12.9”. The router was connected to the capture station via Ethernet. The two iPads were within 10ft of the router. I cannot imagine how bad it would have been had they been further.
Hello @Guest , thanks for the feedback. Can you share a few more words about your experience and the exact setup that you used? Please bear in mind that Live for Studio performance is very much related to the network you are using. Have you checked out our recommendations here?
In any case, we are considering providing an option to send previews with lower resolution. Learning more about your expectations in terms of speed, quality and photoshoot rate will be helpful.
