Very slow generation of previews in C1 was a problem that was solved a few years ago and for some reason its back again. Its taking 3 seconds sometimes to see a non-pixelated preview as I scroll through an edit. A huge waste of time and concentration. This needs to be fixed again and I know its happening to other users. My Preview Image size is just 1920 and optimized for speed. I'm using a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro Max Chip and 1TB free memory out of 2TB so it should generate preview instantly.
Hi @Guest - please reach out to our support team, this is absolutely not normal so you are probably experiencing a bug.
From a technical point of view, what you are experiencing may not be related to preview generation (this usually happens only once, when importing images or during tethering), and more likely related to rendering.
I will mark this as "not a feature request", as this is a bug, but I also want to let you know that we will release an update in a few weeks with significant improvements to preview generation speed.
