Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
Currently the histogram in the curves tool reflects RGB/luminosity values for the entire image. However, it would advantageous to have the option for the curves histogram to reflect only the masked area of the image so that one could make specific, detailed changes to the masked area using the curve tool. Other software provides this function (Affinity Photo, Lightroom, Photoshop) but at this time, Capture One doesn't. I find this particularly useful for black and white images and adjusting localized contrast.
Current workaround
There is no true work-around in Capture One, so I need to edit the image in Affinity Photo (or LR/PS), which results in an exported Tif file rather keeping the Raw format as I would in Capture One. |
Fully agree with this request. For adjusting (micro-)contrast in areas where for example contrast or clarity slider do not have an effect.
Current workaround
create luminosity mask (full picture) and adjust the range until only the desired area is mask --> read the min/max RGB values which then are the reference in the curve-tool.
