Sony Pixel Shift Support and ARQ support

What problem do you see this solving?

Capture One cannot combine Pixel Shift files from Sony cameras

Capture One does not support Sony .ARQ files created by Sony's Imaging Edge software from the Pixel Shift files.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

At least once a month I have images with Moire issues which are solved using Pixel Shift. I use Adobe Lightroom for those images, which supports Sony ARQ files.

Current workaround

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?

I have to use Imaging Edge and Adobe Lightroom to process the Pixel Shift Files

This is a problem as when I convert the arq file using adobe or another third party the quality drops significantly. If I export as a tif the file size increases dramatically. This needs to be added to allow these files to be edited. This along with the lens updates (such as the sigma 10-18 2.8 DC DN lens profile) are the reason we all are willing to pay subscription fees. If there are not updates needed for these things then a subscription is a waste. That is supposed to be the justification for a subscription fee as it takes continued work to provide these updates. Please take care of these items. I switched from adobe to avoid subscriptions and now am paying one to you but not getting the support needed which adobe already has.

    Thanks

I would be happy just to be able to open Sony's ARQ files created by the pixel shift process in Sony's Imaging Edge software at the very least.  Combining the images natively in C1 would be the icing on the cake.  I'd rather work with the ARQ 'raw' file over a DNG or TIF export.

For those who are not aware, Pixel Shift is a great way to remove Moire from static subjects, fabrics, architecture, etc. Here is a side-by-side of a single capture compared the pixel shift version.

I use the pixel shift version as a layer in Photoshop to "remove" moire where it occurs.
