Currently, if the preview size set in preferences is larger than the selected output recipe (example - preview set to 2560, output recipe is 2000 long side jpeg), the noise reduction results are not being rendered in proof mode - even at 100% magnification. This is a regression from previous behavior (which rendered the noise reduction properly) that has been introduced around version 20.
There should at least be a switch to enable proper noise reduction rendering in proofing mode regardless of the intended output size

Current workaround
The workaround is to set the preview image size smaller than the intended output, but this has performance impact on editing (even when proofing is disabled). |
