Syphon is an open source framework that allows any application window/s to be used within the same computer as an external video source which would allow the use of live video production switches / software to control the signal that each monitor receives. Further information on how you could build a native plugin can be found on their website. i found their FAQ's page to be the best explainer of what the Syphon framework can do. It would honestly allow us to take our shoot production to a new level with much greater control of graphical overlays etc without bogging down C1 preview renders. https://syphon.github.io/faq

Current workaround
I use HDMI TX/RX onset + Sidecar + Live studio + Capture Pilot. Implementing Syphon would allow us to actually use the multiple viewer window options you have made available recently as currently they are dormant as i can not easily switch between them. |
