Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
I’m very impressed by Capture One’s commitment to evolving the software. The most recent Ai enhancements have been a big boost in my workflow. Here I’m asking for a very important feature that would in my humble opinion a huge time saver and dramatically increase functionality:
Please enable raw and jpgs stacking primarily for renaming/numbering purposes and filename integrity.
Currently there’s no way to stack raw and jpg images. I’m referring to jpgs that are processed out images from the raw files, not the in-camera jpgs that were shot as pairs.
I would very much like to ask you to implement this feature so a raw and jpg can be seen as one or another based on a toggle. My current workflow is to process out jpgs from the raws into a folder structure that’s a clone of the original folder structure, so I have 2 folders with subfolders that are identical, one holding the raw files and one the jpgs. This works, however where it gets me in trouble is when I need to re-edit the folders, as in removing/adding/moving images from folder to folder and then renaming/numbering them. It simply becomes a tedious and time consuming process.
Basically I’m asking for an adjustment in the workflow so that raws and processed jpgs travel throughout the entire editing process until final delivery where I can then separate them for final delivery.
Photomechanic has this feature, however I can’t do the re-numbering there once images were imported into C1 as it would break the image adjustments, them being stored in the Capture One subfolder.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this as my hunch is that this would be a very desired functionality for multiple workflows.
Thank you
