As a headshot photographer I offer my clients the ability to have selected shots on different backgrounds--usually white, gray, or black, but on anything they wish. We can shoot on green (or blue) screen and then use green screen software to remove the green (or blue) and then, with a transparent background put the image on any background we wish. I know that in Capture One you can change the color of a background using the color wheel. However, I am unaware of how you can change from a color to white, gray, or black. What would tremendously speed up my workflow is the ability for Capture One to instantly replace a background (say, chroma green or blue, or even just white, gray, or black) with a chosen color.
Current workaround
Currently, we need to take images into Photoshop to do the cutouts and then make the background replacements. It would be soooo much faster and more convenient if we could do all of this from within Capture One. |
Hi there, this is possible with our newest release and the integration with Photoroom, see this article: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/22145897282717-Edit-Background-with-Photoroom-API-All-in-One-and-Studio-in-Sessions
If you don't want to use this service, you can also mask the background, reduce the saturation and use the sliders for brightness and exposure until you get to your desired shade of white/grey/black.
