Selecting specific images

In my Lightroom days I often made use of the Excire Foto plug-in to locate images. When you have thousands of images, remembering exactly where and when you took a particular shotcan be a pain. Excire can find such images with a text prompt. On one occasion I was looking for a photo of a man in a restaurant I simply could not place as to time and location. Typing in "man in restaurant" in Excire brought the photo up immediately. You can also find images of a particular face in all yourphotos, findphotos similar to a key image and so on. The only regret I had leaving Lightroom was the absence of such a plugin in Capture One. I understand Excire has already approached you on this matter. The plugin in Lightroom worked without compromising any other aspect of the program. I cannot see any downside to having such a plugin in Capture One.

I would imagine Excire would be happy to write the plugin themselves.

I'm sure that this might be a nice feature for users of that tool, but even though Excire have approached C1, wouldn't Excire themselves have to write the plugin with C1's public SDK, similar to Helicon, Photomatix, etc? Or is the idea that C1 have their own developers do the work (a la Frame.io or Glass, etc)?

If your request is about Excire plugin, can you please update the title to reflect the precise idea?
