AI masking features and pricing

Dear C1 team: I've been planning to switch over to C1, mainly because the image processing for my Nikon, Fujifilm and Sony RAW files is way superior to Lr and Camera Raw. It's easily noticeable.
But I see some options from Lr are still better implemented, especially with AI masking: erasing people and objects with one click/selection, and even having variables for doing it so. I've been trying to replicate edits and C1 mainly relies in cloning or basing itself on similar pixels. This is something that was done many years ago in Lr too. Today in Lr I can easily select a mask layer, choose an object or person, and erasing it with AI generative refill which is super useful. (workaround below)
Also, regarding the pricing, I would DEFINITELY buy the perpetual license of your software if at least I was able to receive the updates (bugs and features) until the new release is made. What's the point of buying e.g. 16.5.3.1 version if a 16.6, or a 16.7.2 is ever released with minor bugs solved and maybe a better performance in something like AI masking (e.g. selecting people a tiny bit better). At least C1 should let us own a finished version of that year perpetually. Then if version 17 or 21 or 45 comes out and we decide to buy it all over again, we can choose to do so because the new features are tempting for us!
Thanks for reading, have a wonderful year.

Current workaround

the IA masking issue from above: Exporting to .PSD , importing into Ps, erasing people or objects using AI generative refill or not, exporting again and importing back into C1 with the corrected file to finish with grain or whatever details we want to add. Kind of nonesense to have to do this and also pay Adobe's subscription too to use Ps for this. It could be all be sorted out inside C1 and adobe wouldn't earn a penny more from my pocket. Thanks!
