Extend Face Retouching tool to full-body skin retouching

The new Face Retouching tool is a great addition, but for professional portrait, beauty and fashion workflows, it is essential that skin retouching is not limited to the face only. Retouching is often required on all visible skin areas, including arms, legs, and décolleté. Currently, I use third-party tools like Retouch4me’s Dodge & Burn and Heal plugins, which apply automatic and consistent corrections across the full skin area. Having this functionality natively in Capture One would significantly streamline the retouching process and eliminate the need for round-tripping to external apps.

Current workaround

I use Retouch4me plugins (Dodge & Burn and Heal) on every image to retouch skin beyond the face. This requires exporting images from Capture One and processing them externally, which breaks the workflow and increases editing time.

Thanks for the update. That is very unfortunate. I propose the following:

Make it possible that you can apply the skin tool to other places than the face and neck via a brush.

    I really need this feature!

Hi everyone, we have released an extension of retouching to the neck with 16.7.

Retouching on the whole body is an interesting feature request, but a very different challenge as well, so we wanted to manage expectations: we are not currently working on this. This doesn't mean it won't come in the future, it just won't be soon.

Sadly this looks like it's gone back into the backlog

I think we’re not far from this happening. Anyways, just to emphasize the importance of this feature: I’m pretty sure it would reduce the times of me going into photoshop with a portrait about 50-70%. Can’t wait!

It'd be a great idea if a full body retouch could be implemented into capture one. This would reduce the editing and retouching time spent in exporting back into Photoshop. Thanks

It's really strange when C1 retouches the face and the neck is completely unretouched. It's just very artificial and jarring looking. It's better than nothing, but strange!

Whilst this might seem like an exciting idea, does it not risk attempting to turn C1 into a Photoshop replacement rather than a RAW development tool ? For corporates / events / scale editing the face retouching is rather helpful, but once you're talking about serious editing on the whole image, isn't it time to use the correct tool?

Came here specifically to raise this. Let's hope we hear something soon :)

The new face retouching works great and I love it. However, in typical portrait shots there is also the adjacent neck/throat/decollete which should be included in the face retouch. Today I need to use Retouch4me plugins whenever there is more than just face skin.

totally agree. It's an incredible tool but I cant use it if there are arms or chest showing in the photo because those also have to be retouched. I'm doing the same having to use retouch4me.

Definite YES to this. At the very least being able to include the neck when using Retouch Face would help a great deal. Amazing update though!

Please add option to include necks and/or all visible skin when using Face Retouch

The new update is amazing but it would help a great deal if it was possible to include necks when using the Face Retouch tools. Adding all visible skin would be even better.
