It would be very useful to me to have separate horizontal and vertical adjustment points within the keystone tool. For example, currently when using the 4 point keystone tool, one has to hope that there are areas of the image that line up vertically and horizontally along the axes of the tool lines. As an architectural photographer, I often correct for vert/horiz on a building elevation, and with lightroom/photoshop, one can do this quite easily as the 4 point keystone tool is separated into 4 distinct lines that one can modify independently from one another. This allows each line to be placed around the image as needed, such that moving one point of a vertical line doesn't then potentially cause the horizontal line to move as well. More importantly, it also allows the placement of the lines on parts of the building that are clearly meant to be vertical or horizontal, (like an edge of the building, window, door, column, or other obvious element), without needing that element to then line up with the adjustment point. Of course one can still move the points around while looking further out on the line, but then one doesn't benefit from the loupe attached to the drag point. The speed gain from separating the lines would be huge.
Current workaround
I have gone back to just using the sliders, which is quite slow, and not a perfect solution. |
I very much agree!
