What problem do you see this solving?
Straighten and keystone tools work by properly placing segments or a slanted frame over a photo. My experience is that I'm seldom able to place them with the required precision to have a decent result. In particular this makes the straighten tool useless: if I have to finely tune the result with the slider in the "angle and flip" tool, it makes sense to use the slider only. But it takes longer than it would require a working straighten tool.
Now it would be a great improvement if an option is offered to automatically activate a loupe (the same tool in the zoom section) that would make it possible to precisely position the segments or the slanted frame. The loupe should be placed in a fixed position (e.g. the upper right corner) so one can have at the same time a regular view of the photo and a detailed view of the segment placement.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
I have photos to level almost in every shooting day.
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? As said above, the workaround is to use slider either to replace the straighten tool or to fine-tune the job made by the keystone tool, but it requires a longer time. |
