Extract original 4-digit camera number token during memory card import (parities with tethering tokens)

What problem do you see this solving?
Currently, when importing files from an SD/memory card, Capture One does not offer a native token to extract only the 4-digit sequence number from the original camera filename. The only options are the full [Image Name] (e.g., _DSC01234) or Capture One's independent internal [4 Digit Counter].
However, when tethering, Capture One does have a token option to grab just the image sequence number. This lack of parity between the Import dialog and Tethering dialog breaks workflow consistency. Many photographers need a unified naming convention across both tethered and card-imported shoots (e.g., Name-JobTitle-[4-digit-camera-number]).
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality?
Every time I ingest files from a multi-camera shoot or an SD card backup where the physical camera numbers need to match across multiple applications and logs, without resetting the counter to 0001.

Current workaround

Currently, I have to perform a multi-step workaround:

  1. Import files using the full [Image Name] token.

  2. Select all imported images and use the Batch Rename (Find and Replace) tool to manually strip away the specific camera prefix (like "DSC" or "IMG") and replace it with my custom job text.

  3. Alternatively, I have to rely on custom external AppleScripts to parse the last 4 characters of the filename.

Having a native token like [Original 4-Digit Number] directly inside the Import Images dialog would save immense amounts of post-production time.
