It is always good to work in layers for local adjustment however sometimes the number of layers become too many when the processing is completed. In order to make the workflow looks efficient i suggest C1 should allow users to club multiple layers in a group where the adjustments and the opacity are similar for different mask areas in an image. Also if users are flexible to create a child layer within a layer than the workflow freedom will be further enhanced.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
I extensively use to work in layers for each image and feel the that there can be better ways for an efficient workflow.

I usually work on layers in Affinity Revolution where i have the freedom to work on multiple layers and then group them to get uniform results. Also i have a freedom to consolidate all group images in one and delete the rest so that i can see the difference of my entire work flow by clicking / unclicking only one layer.
While I'm all for this in theory, as long as max layer count is limited to 16, I don't see any tangible benefit. If/when Capture One expands layer count, then this becomes what I'll feel is a valid request. Here's hoping we both get what we want.
