Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
May we have a checkbox to view/turn on & off an adjustment tool instead of holding Option key and click holding Reset please?! This would allow continuous one handed operation. The current method is bothersome and laggy. Also, we can only see the effect of an adjustment one at a time, but often we like to see how each adjustment tool affect the image and/or if we could use another tool to achieve more sophisticated results.
This feature is available in Lightroom / Affinity Photo. In Capture One, I would create a layer for each adjustment tool to get around it which is time-consuming and can get messy plus there is a limit on the number of layers.
Many thanks for your consideration.
Thank you for your suggestion. I did try so but not practical with many layers. I also noticed the outcome is different when you make the adjustments in one layer vs multiple layers. Nonetheless, that is the next best alternative while we can only hope and pray they add this feature, hopefully very soon.
FYI, this is why I put nearly all my adjustments into layers and don't put a lot of different adjustments into a single layer. By using layers, it's trivial to toggle a layer on/off to see the effect of what you've just done in that layer. I'm not saying this is a full replacement for what was originally requested here, just that using more layers allows you to use the layer visibility as the toggle and that layer visibility toggle is very simply, quick and easy as a work-around.
Dear FirstName,
Pray reveal thyself, or are you actually called FirstName?
😉
This feature has been highly requested and longed for so many years...
kind of a must and shouldn't be too hard to implement considering that every other editing tool that I use / have used has this feature
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and ideas. Will definitely give them a try especially Photolab. I find Capture One's colours overly saturated anyway.
Disheartened to hear this feature has been requested 2 years ago yet still not implemented. A dearly missed opportunity!
It is also available in darktable.
I find this useful to quickly see the effects of more than one tool.
However, if I want to actually compare the combined effect of several tools vs. those tools switched off, or the combined effect vs. the effect of one other tool, then the time needed for switching more than one tool on or off actually exceeds my very short-termed memory, so for the use case of comparison this feature is not very helpful, in none of the applications mentioned. Better to clone the variant, adjust and quickly switch between the variants.
...and also in Luminar.
I already requested this in June 21.
This feature would be much more practical where you want see the effects of other adjustments without those in a specific tool, plus you might want to do something similar with more than one tool, which you can't do while holding Alt+reset.
Otherwise you need to reset the tool(s) and somehow remember them all to re-apply them manually.
If you have an on/off toggle switch you can also easily compare the other adjustments you've made with the original one(s) applied again.
Overall, it will allow you to compared various combinations of tools applied.
(First-Last you might/maybe need to rewrite your request to conform the official format to improve the chances of success)
This feature is available in DXO Photolab too.
