Multi-camera simultaneous shooting/importing for future AR/VR rigs

What problem do you see this solving?

It appears that while you can tether multiple cameras to Capture One that only the camera selected will import as you shoot. There is/will be an increased need (e-commerce shot simultaneously rather than in sequence with the subject rotating, VR/AR headset proliferation, 3d model creation such as body scans, etc.) for images that are, at a minimum, stereoscopic if not more. It would be great to be able to ingest them in Capture One along with maybe some new naming tokens to accommodate multi-cam scenarios perhaps all based around camera serial numbers (setting camera 1 as "L" and camera 2 as "R" for instance, or camera 1 as "Front", camera 2 as "Back", or "0, 45, 90, 135, 180" etc.)

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

Currently the company I work for is using an alternative ingestion app to solve this but we'd love to use Capture One as we have always used it for our more regular single camera stills shoots. I expect to be affected by this for every multi-cam shoot we have moving forward.

Current workaround

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?

Using the app from tether tools called Smart Shooter in conjunction with Capture One (just using a hot folder) so we're still able to make edits/adjustments/etc. is probably the way we'll have to go for now.

Hi 370130523917, thanks for the suggestion.

I would like to suggest a workaround that you can currently use to stay within Capture One: you have the ability to have several sessions open at the same time on your computer, and a different camera tethered to each of them.
If you point your "Capture folder" in all those sessions to the same physical folder, you will essentially end up with a setup that tethers multiple cameras to the same location.
