Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
What problem do you see this solving?
When you apply a gradient mask to an image after making keystone adjustments, the gradient mask follows the original dimensions of the image rather than the current dimensions after keystone adjustments, which means that keystone correction is applied to the gradient mask too. Another consequence is that when you use the Shift key to place gradient masks in a horizontal or vertical position, the resulting positions are no longer horizontal or vertical.
Gradient masks would be a lot more useful without such distortion.
Here's an example using a random photo:

The issue is also mentioned here: Radial&Linear gradient mask issue when used over a keystone corrected image.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
I see this issue regularly when using gradient masks.

Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? I haven't used any workarounds so far. |
I can shoot the same image using different combinations of camera rotation + keystone + cropping. One extreme is using shift lens, so no keystone correction needed. The other extreme is rotating camera maximally and cropping from the edge further away from the horizon. All these images could look practically identical after keystone correction, yet C1 forces this odd mask behavior where it's not possible to create exactly circle shaped mask or constant width linear gradient.
If there is no option to make a straight linear gradient or a circular radial gradient then +1
