Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
What problem do you see this solving?
The crop tool can crop and rotate the image, as a good crop tool should do.
However the crop tool does not have a way to reset the rotation you have just applied, only the crop.
This gets in the way when you need to undo an accidental rotation or if you simply need to undo part of what you have done. Until the rotation is reset, the crop can not be finalised or reset either.
This would save time in having to switch to a new tool or tools window and back into the crop tool which becomes slow and inefficient.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Very recently, it happens often.
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? I have not been using a workaround, but have just tried adding a 'rotation and flip' tool tab floating in the top menu bar from where I can press reset at any time. Ideally, some relevant tools should be popping up somewhere in an accessible space whenever a tool is selected, similar to how Photoshop and most other software works. So for example, I press 'C' on my keyboard to get the crop tool, and in a dedicated space on the menu (perhaps the top horizontal menu space on my screen) a set of relevant tools would show up, for the crop tool that would be a list of aspect ratio's and rotation tools to rotate or reset. |
Update: My current workaround is to add a floating toolbar for the crop and rotate tools as floating windows above my workspace in a convenient place, with just the floating toolbar showing. This way I can easily reset crop and rotation independently.
