Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
What problem do you see this solving?
I do interior and architectural photography, often on my own, and would like to use the Capture one iPad app to control my tethered camera, mainly so that I can see the images on a bigger screen while shooting. Idon't edit on location, I create a new Capture One session on my desktop when I get home to do the editing.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
First prize would be if the iPad could just import previews while shooting (not the Raw files, I'd like these to be saved on the camera's memory card).
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? I have used the iPad version on location and done the cloud transfer when I'm back home, then deleted the Session on the iPad once it is on my main computer. I find doing the cloud transfer slow and my iPad does not always have enough space for a full days shoot. I'm sure this is a tricky technical issue with all the different cameras. I would generally love to be able to shoot tethered (at the moment I use a D850) and allocate one card slot as a RAW backup slot whilst the camera sends low-res preview jpeg images to the computer or iPad. I've gone back to just shooting untethered on location and zooming in on the small camera screen to check details. |
Hi 392058268278 - first of all thank you for the feature request.
What you've described is possible if you own a camera that Capture One supports "Save to card" - this is a handful of Canon and Nikon cameras. Which camera do you own?
You'll be able to save the RAW files to the memory card and transmit the "previews" to the iPad.
Would love to talk to you more about your workflow and see how we can help.
