When using the clone or heal tools, sometime I need to draw from an area outside my current crop. Right now I have to reset the crop, and then set it again after I'm done. If it is an image that requires a precise crop this can slow me down.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Every day that I'm editing
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
There have been requests about this before. Being able to toggle the crop on or off may not be the best solution, though, if they can just find a way to show you the whole image when you use the heal or clone tools.
As a workaround, note that you don't have to reset your precise crop and redo it. It's quicker to create a cloned variant of the edited image, cancel the crop and rotation on that, do your cloning or healing, then copy the crop and rotation across from the first variant. That way you get exactly the crop and rotation you had before without having to precisely re-do it. And when you are done, you can delete the unhealed variant.
