Option to turn off case sensitivity for Keyword Library search function

Requested feature

Please add an option to turn off case sensitivity for the Keyword Library search function. (Apparently, the Keyword Library search function is already case-insensitive on Windows – see this post below.)

What problem do you see this solving?

Turning off case sensitivity would make searching much quicker, and give you more inclusive search results. And you wouldn't have to remember if the keywords you're searching for are capitalized or not.

When applying keywords to images, it's almost always faster to search for keywords using the Keyword Library search function than to locate them manually in the Keyword Library. If you're tagging a large amount of images, and consequently search for keywords again and again, it would be much faster to be able to just type in the beginning of the keywords you're looking for without bothering about capitalization.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

I'm affected by this every time I apply keywords to images, which I do not only when importing images but also when organizing and editing.

Current workaround

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?

As a workaround I often leave out the first letter of the keyword I'm searching for, but it would make things easier if I didn't have to use any such workarounds.

    Hi BeO,

Thanks for pointing this out. It must be Mac only then. I'll add this information above.

    Hi Thomas,

Maybe I don't understand your request, or it is different on Mac vs. Windows, or C1 introduced yet another regression defect, but for me the search is already case insensitive (Windows 10, C1 version 15.2.1.9)
