Reset all settings in selected layer without mask

When I have a mask selected in the image and make various changes. Often I want to reset the settings of that layer while keeping the mask, this will allow me to make new settings without re-selecting the mask.

The layer previews are too big, as soon as there are 4 layers you habe to scroll to get an overview of how many and what layers are there, thats just plain annoying. The previews a cool but scrolling to get an overview sucks. in my opinion the could be way smaller and you would still see the preview.
