Allow separation of user collection from folder list in library tab

I want to have a floating user collection list, separate from the folder listing in the library tab. This would allow me to quickly drag and drop images onto whatever collection I see fit. To do that currently isn't very feasible (unless I'm missing something). If you check out one of your collections you immediately lose your place in your looooong list of folders. See attached image.

Linked to this idea would the request for a back button to take me back to the folder/collection I was in before my last move. For example, I have placed some images in collections, I have a look in teh collection and then have to figure out which of my 100 odd folders I was in last and scroll down there, open it up and scroll to the image I was last on to continue my task at hand.
