Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
What problem do you see this solving?
It'll make it easy for people like me who use external devices to edit photos, like loupedeck.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
I do use a shortcut to copy the last photos adjustments and past to the next one that I'll edit. So, If I have cropped the photo, the crop will be applied. Sometimes, the crop isn't good, so I have to reset it. Today, I have left the crop toolbar pinned so I can click on the reset crop button, but it's time consuming.
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? Just described above |
In Adobe LR if you choose a standard aspect ratio for a crop, say 5x4 on a horizontally composed image, and then decide to change the crop to vertical (portrait ratio) you can click the X key and the crop will change from 5x4 to 4x5. There doesn't seem to be any way to do this in C1Pro, other than creating a new set of predetermined crop aspects so that you'd have a list twice as long, where each crop has the horizontal and vertical choices. Why not add a command option that would allow fast change from landscape to portrait mode in any of the predefined crop ratios (other than 1:1 of course)?
while this shortcut doesn't come, we can use this script. It works fine, I even created a shortcut for it. my computer, Mac Studio M1 Ultra Ventura 13.4.1 Capture1 23

Hi Jessica,
Shortcuts for aspect ratios are also on the roadmap and will come! :)

It would also be nice if there was a way to make a shortcut (or just a way OTHER than clicking the dropdown tab in the toolbar) to control style of crop (e.g. unconstrained, square, 4x5, etc).
Hi Glauco,
A little update. We will implement this specific shortcut in a future version!

Hi Glauco,
Thanks for the post! A shortcut for resetting the crop would be a great addition.
While I don't know yet if or when it will be implemented, I can share the setting for copying from the adjustment clipboard "Autoselect > Adjusted Except Composition" which will copy adjustments without the crop (or other compositional changes).
