What happened to customer first thinking? if you want to be the most complete platform, you need to include all relevant cameras. By now, it is pretty clear that Hasselblad X-Series fit that category. It would be wise to overcome your intenal gaze, get over yourselves and do right by your customers.
really don't understand why a pro photo editing company wouldn't support one of the most pro cameras. Pretty childish if it's just some historical quibble.
Here’s the latest statement from Rafael Orta, CEO of Capture One:
We have noticed the requests for supporting Hasselblad cameras from our community, and we have responded to them. Unfortunately it’s not the answer y’all likely want to hear.
Providing support for a camera, especially a high-end Hasselblad, is not simple.
Ideally we’re able to work very closely with manufacturers to carefully calibrate colors and lenses, to make sure their files consistently and predictably look beautiful in Capture One, across many different lighting conditions and photography scenarios.
It’s a matter of public record that the relationship between Phase One and Hasselblad became antagonistic over time, and as I’m sure y’all know from life experience, it takes a second to blow up a bridge and a very long time to rebuild it.
So, I’m not going to say never, but I can’t commit to a timeline either. In the interest of openness and transparency, we’ve taken the public stance of saying that it’s “Not currently planned”, and we will of course update that information if and when circumstances allow.
We appreciate the engagement and ideas from our community and we remain committed to offering you innovative and powerful photography software at a time of intense change in the industry.
+1 for X2D support for tethered capture and raw. I've read through the previous thread on this, unless Hasselblad and C1 resolve this I'll have to back to using Lightroom for my X2D needs. It's kinda bizarre that C1 supports tethered shooting for the Leica Q3 (decidedly NOT a studio camera) but can't get over the hump to support the X2D? Sigh.
Please support the X2D, been using it next to my Phase One and Leica.. I move to Capture one from lightroom etc and not having Hasseblad is such a pain. Please!!!!!
This situation seems to have been persistent for so long and through so many adjustments of ownership (both parties) that one might conclude that something quite dramatic would need to happen if a resolution for the users of the systems is to be delivered.
I believe Hasselblads potential resistance has been discussed on this thread previously.
Curious if anyone managed to find a contact or method to share / petition our wishes to Hasselblad directly? Sure this community would get behind that. I tried to email their general support email and received a very dull, cold response. A specific person / email to reach out would be amazing, anyone?
The possible issues around IP are interesting in a historical context. However, it appears that Phase One sees no IP conflicts in respect of multiple manufacturers that use Sony sensors - in various resolutions up to and including Fujifilm's use of the same silicon as Hasselblad. So it remains difficult to understand why one camera system specifically is not supported in C1. The new CFV100/907 is going to bring a whole new slew of users to Hasselblad. In terms of simple business logic, I don't know why Phase One would not want those photographers using its software. However, for balance, I am not gainsaying that there could be a lack of cooperation at Hasselblad's end. If that is the case, I would love to know it so that we could all then petition Hasselblad in the same terms! And while the lack of support remains utterly frustrating for me, credit at least to C1 for allowing this discussion to take place on it forum.
There is an interesting paragraph in there and a few details I had missed about the story.
Anyway, based on a very quick reading, it seems that DJI and Imacon, with a US based Head Office, might be the people to talk to if one wishes to overcome whatever problems persist for Capture One to be able to include support for Hasselblad files.
Or there may be another side to the story so far not uncovered by my new "friend" MS Copilot. I just wish I knew how he/she crept onto my computer without intended approval ...
ETA: Further reading of a most interesting and varied company history now seems to suggest the majority owner is currently DJI.

Why is C1 keeps ignoring one of the best image quality camera in the market??
RAW SUPPORT FOR HASSELBLAD X2D. I just paid my license and I can't work

Please support the X2D, been using it next to my Phase One XF and would love to have C1 being able to edit all my pictures. Thank you!
Hasselblad x2d
+1 for for Hasselblad X2D / VFC 100c support in C1. Thank you.
Like the introduction of a 100mp digital back for 8KUSD? What’s that 30k cheaper than PhaseOne? 🤣

By the way, I also tried to probe this with Hasselblad and came away none the wiser.
Another vote for Hasselblad!!

Its time for Capture One to understand how important for us is the Hasselblad support!!
Please!!!!
