If Capture1 does not set the subject layer correctly, and I need to change it, after changing it the background layer then also needs to be changed. This feels like redundant work.
Current workaround
I need to copy the mask to the background layer and then invert it. It doesn't take long to do this, but it's something I do many many times over while editing a wedding. A shortcut key to sync them together would be a huge time saver.
You could make sure you have subject mask exactly the way you want it and then copy it to a new layer and invert it. Then, you only have to work on the mask once. That is regularly how I do it.
