Option for Updating mask while pasting style to another image

What problem do you see this solving?

I'm doing business portraits.

While I fix background edits, and I want to copy and paste those settings to another image, I can't just paste the mask and update it based on a new person(subject) but delete it and do background fixes all over again.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

Everyday.

It's coming. Only Capture One can say when and they typically don't share specific release dates in advance.

I hope it's coming soon. Lightroom got that for a while now... Any news about the scheduled timeline?

The copy-apply of subject and background AI mask is coming according to Capture One.

Walter, thank you for the workaround method. It would be good if you could implement the AI mask to update when copy/paste layers too. The reason being is that I don't want to overpopulate my style count with one time styles. The adjustments for this background that Branislav is reffering to are probably relevant for just that day of shooting, so would not want to have a style for that, but rther be able to paste your settings through all photos from that person/day/shoot.

If you create a layer with 16.3.1 using Background AI Mask, make adjustments, and create a new style that includes just that layer then you can apply that style to other images and the Background AI Mask in the style will auto calculate the background mask on the new images. It also works for Subject AI Mask layers.
