Image blending

I know that Capture1 is primarly a RAW processor, not a pixel editor. Having said that, it would save me using other software if there was a way to blend two images together. Set a seperate file as a top layer, and be able to blend parts of it in. This useful for things like head swaps to open eyes or change expressions, or for creating basic composite images. The feature would probably need to come with some transform style tools for the donor image. The addition of this, and really basic skin retouching, would make Capture1 a true one-stop shop for wedding/portrait/family photographers.

Current workaround

Using other software

Head swaps would be useful in the world of portrait... I am a part part time portrait photographer, but a FULL TIME commercial photographer, and I've always seen capture one as the go-to tool in the commercial world.

In the context of commercial I have always wanted this for composite image techniques. I would love to be able to shoot an with a support, or be able to light objects differently and comp them inside capture one. This is a pretty common technique that I tend to avoid because I really try to do as much as I can within capture one, as apposed to getting messy with photoshop exports.

Watermark already does this kind of thing, perhaps extend this functionality.

I would find it useful to be able to combine different images. Hypothetically, replacing one's iris with a mushroom cloud. Please consider ways to combine different elements of various photographs.
