Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
Analyse facial features, create a database of individuals, assign a name and keyword, and allow to add/remove from found matches.
I photograph a lot of dance schools, in individual sessions as well as group settings and stage performances. It is extremely time-consuming to keyword the various people, be it in an individual image or a group photo, and in many cases I do not remember their names, or know them by heart.
With todays Ai, it should be possible to create a function that allows for keyword tagging and sorting by such features. We've seen attempts (good and bad) already in Apple's original Aperture software, many moons ago, and it worked surprisingly well. Then Adobe LR introduced similar feature, and Apple Photos has this as well.
I am sure this would save all kinds of photographers a massive amount of time - from group sports to school photographers, anyone that photographs the same people many times, and needs to catalogue and find individuals down the track.
Current workaround
No "workaround" except for doing it manually. |
It would be so great if Capture One had this. With this feature missing I have to hack together a really messy workflow with other 3rd party tools.
Its one missing piece that makes me often think about reconsidering Lightroom. But I much prefer editing in Capture One. Please consider it!
This is still "awaiting review". How can we bump this up in the cue? I understand this may not be the number one, most marketing-friendly addition (since LR has had this already for a long time), but it is a massive time saver for anyone photographing people, from portraits to sports, from individuals to groups, schools, corporations, etc.
It is so annoying seeing that "basic" software have this feature and that Capture One does not offer this.
I am waiting for this to upgrade my version of Capture One.
It will save so much time to so many photographers to have this feature
