Edit several images as layers in photoshop Merged

There needs to be an ability to open a group of images as layers in photoshop so that they can be blended together properly. For example product photo can use 5 or 6 images to get the right lighting in different parts of the photo.

Portrait photographer often use light very close to a model then take another frame without the light to blend later.

Lightroom has this feature it will open several images as layers in photoshop whilst only creating one tif file for the first selected photo.

Current workaround

Only work around at the moment is to export all images as tifs then use photoshop separately. Or edit them all in photoshop thus creating several tifs again to copy and paste each document into one of them. Not practical and a complete waste of storage.

Do you then edit the finished tif blend again in c1?

Good idea! I see the same problem but this solution is also good! This would also solve the ghosting problem of the current HDR tool!
