When tethered shooting, it could be useful to overlay a PNG of a Rule of Thirds grid, Phi grid or a harmonic armature over the image being sent by the camera. Imagine doing a product shoot, still life, or any other static or somewhat static subject and having the ability of dropping an armature over the live view. It would be a great compositional tool as it would move photography closer to the masters of centuries before who painted over an armature.

You can do this now with the overlay tool in the capture tab. Simply open whatever grid or guide you want.
