Lens support for Tamron 17-28 mm f/2.8 Di III RXD for Sony E

What problem do you see this solving?

Correction for a popular lens: Tamron 17-28 f/2.8 Di III RXD for Sony E-mount

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

Today, as I just bought this lens.

Current workaround

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?

Using the embedded manufacturer profile, but this does not guarantee to match COP level of quality, nor does it take into account loss of sharpness.

To be frank, if the distortion is that bad and Tamron's "Manufacturer Profile" does not correct it, perhaps it is not correctible?

Beyond that it should be possible to come up with some adjustments for other things - sharpness for example, light fall off maybe - that work to improve things and then save them as preset and/or styles for the lens.

I do have the same problems with distortion, the results are pretty bad. This is not what i expected from C1 2023, considering that the lens is more than 3 years old...

We desperately need the distortion correction for this lens. Does Capture One have an update about when this is coming? This week would be great.

I have the same need.  Strange that the only Tamron Lens listed is the 28-75 Di III (Gen 1 I believe) and not even the newer Gen2.  Would like to see profiles for all three Tamron zooms (17-28, 28-75, 70-180).  I think they are pretty popular lenses for the Sony A7's.
