Add the option to synchronization, to not combining the layers, but replacing them with the list of layers that is in the active photo. Actually reset the of the layers panel before applying sync files.

Mask gradients are awesome and it would be great if I could take several masks with various degrees of feathering and luma ranges and combine them into a new layer so its all rasterized as a new mask.
