Hello Evi, It has been three months and the only shutter release I see on Capture One for iPhone is for the iPhone camera. are we ever going to get that feature for the Phase IQ4?
Thank you 373083490897, I am happy to share that the shutter button will be available for iPhone really really soon. Thanks for the elaborate response, now I understand better your need. May I ask why you loath Cascable?
The only 'alternative' is Cascable, which I loath and do not use. My alternatives are: 1) carry a laptop and tether; 2) carry an iPad and tether. Both offer wireless tethering which is NOT stable. The devices are large and awkward in the field. They more impedimenta to carry and set up. I want something I can put in my pocket, not carry more supports for. Hard tethering works reliably, but requires cables which are a nuisance. I am primarily a landscape photographer and work alone without assistants. Often I need to change settings on the IQ4/XF quickly both to evaluate captures and to change settings. Having the necessary camera controls and shutter release on a handheld device is invaluable. The iPhone version of C1 would help if it had a shutter release function. THAT would be an alternative, it would be even better with wireless like Capture Pilot. For example when shooting in Antelope Canyon time constraints are tight. when using the IQ3 and Capture Pilot I could make the necessary settings with time to spare because of the drop down exposure/aperture setting menus (not the ridiculous sliders of Cascable).

Thank you 373083490897. Can you share a few words on how you want to use this functionality and why? What is the alternative you are currently using?
Thanks
