Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
What problem do you see this solving?
It would improve editing when masks can be combined e.g. using set operations like in Darktable.
Set operations:
1. Union: the percentages are added, sums over 100 are reduced to 100.
2. Intersection: with different percentages, one should be able to decide whether the respective largest value is used, the values are added together or there is an excellent mask whose values are used.
3. Difference
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
I can edit common qualities instead doeing taht in each mask.
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? Operate on different masks |
Hi
I need graphic operations with masks when editing landscape photos. It is very difficult to create masks that would follow each other exactly or blend into each other. It is possible to use the invert mask tool, but often the mask does not extend to the edges of the photo, so it must then be adjusted. I would add the ability to fill the space between two masks as a new mask, which can then be added to any mask. It's really difficult to work with separating the sky through the branches. Although the AI can effectively select some parts of the photo, it can't do it so well that there are no gaps or overlaps.
They should definitely add this feature. Lightroom has it, and it's so helpful. Currently, it's not possible to subtract elements, so you have to redo the mask every time. The AI erase feature doesn't solve the problem because the masks are not always accurate.
