Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
Which device are you using?
Samsung Note 9
What problem do you see this solving?
Every other Android user who also owns the Desktop C1 client probably wishes for C1 mobile as well..
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Everytime ..
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals? Lightroom Mobile and "Photo Editor" |
As I use the Fujifilm X system camera, Capture One was recommeded as a preferred software for a while now. But because I have tried, but do not want to be in the Apple eco system, CO not having implementation in the Android system is a big big shame. I see many brands only sticking to IOS, having a lack of vision, and boosting Apple's arrogance. So I will not support these Apple centric products. Bye!
The only reason it's not yet out is that C1 doesn't want to offer an android app.
Just a question of budget. With the high price we pay, we should have an android app.
Everybody at C1 has certainly an iphone and work with apple.
had to cancel my CO sub because I needed the mobile app for my Samsung Tab 8Ultra, and Lightroom has it.. I was so disappointed there was no app for android.
I am also for Android version. I'm not going back to Apple. The missing APK is your weakness compared to Lightroom. :(
Thank you 14175325199133! Would you go for a tablet or a phone? Can you share a few words about your workflow?
I'll put my hand up for an Android version. Would be nice not to need the laptop for quick edits and simple tasks without having to either wait till I get home, or have to use a different app. Apple isn't the leader of the pack anymore, thanks for listening!
Thank you 13457737053725. Noted :)
I would also be very interested in a mobile version for android. I frequently transfer photos directly to my phone to share with friends and family and a simplified version to control the white balance, HDR settings, etc. would totally suit my purpose.
hehe, that would be interesting but we should do it for everything we are thinking about doing, to have a decent benchmark.
Better yet, just shoot out a quick dialog box with a question next time you update C1. Just ask the people if they would actually want and use the android version. If the numbers are low, just let it die, I guess.
Thank you both 14618887257117 and 381975022417.
Count me as another customer who will NEVER own an Apple phone or tablet and already owns an Android phone and tablet.
Hello Evi,
We shoot tethered to the desktop, and most of the time that is all I need. It would just be nice to have the option to use one of my client's products when something lighter is needed.
Had the same issue with Capture One Pilot being iOS only. Would have been nice to have one of their tablets to review images while we were shooting.
Hey 14618887257117, I understand your struggles...what are you using now when you go to a shoot with them? Unfortunately building an Android version is not in our immediate plans so we won't release something in 2024. Having said that, getting more votes and requests will help us prioritize higher and re-evaluate this decision.
I want to voice my support for an Android version of C1 Mobile.
With my biggest client being a competitor with Apple, I don't think pulling out an iOS device during a shoot would be wise.
Thank you,
Stephen Schmitt

Thanks Jack.
The forum feels kind of deserted, not very active, so even if quite a few of the 250k users (I read this number somewhere, not sure it is right and if they are all still actively using C1) are affected by the issues I have (indeed) reported I doubt I get much feedback here. (In fact only one or two have replied to me after I created the respective topic).
I did not know that Evi is a dedicated product manager for the mobile app. I guess I wanted to make a point and foster awareness in the product management that at least one customer is expecting that regression defects will be resolved, even with some priority.
Conversation with the support agent
This unfortunately stopped when I was periodically asking for the (then) current status. I even created videos as requested to illustrate one of the issues, which means I invested quite some time, and I can tell you that I am very disappointed that the ressources you obviously put on defects and software quality is subpar and does not correspond with your price increases and policy changes in disfavor of your perpetual licence customers. One should expect the quality rises too, not the opposite.
Regards
BeO
369260519517 Evi is the product manager for Capture One Mobile so she won't be able to help you with specific bugs on Capture One Pro, or any support related requests.
It's probably best to pick up the conversation with the support agent you were connected with and carry on the support request, or create a new one, if the numbers you're referring to are indeed support requests.
Or you could always post in the relevant topic and see if anyone else has had their workflow affected. :)

Hi Evi, as I see you are interested in workflows, can you please tell me how can I move in the browser to the images which were shot right before and right after image123.raw?
It was possible to put image123.raw into the search box of the browser, then this image was filtered. Then, remove the string from the searc box and all images in the collection would show again, but still the image123.raw would be visible in the browser.
This was killed in either 15.3 or 15.4 and fully killed (some important) part of my workflow. see #172712 including videos to illustrate the issue I uploaded several months ago.
There is another regression defect (#172703) I reported which also kills another part of my workflow. I really wonder why you (company) silently kill customers workflow and talk about new stuff at the same time.
I appreciate new stuff but don't just forget your existing customers and features, don't let quality go down further.
Thanks.
Hello 11683290774045! We have not made the decision to build an app for Android yet, and once we do, we will need sometime to make it a reality. I don't see this happening in the next few months but we will keep you posted. Care to share a few words about your workflow and use case? How do you imagine yourself using the app?
