Set maximum output file size

I work in the entertainment world as a photographer.

My customers ask for a file that meets a certain size limit (for example, no larger than 5000k). My colleagues who work with LL can set this up. But so far there is no way to do this in C1.

Current workaround

I set the output quality to approximately 70%, but I still get all kinds of different file sizes, between 2000k and 5000k.

Just making a note here that the "Target File Size" option does not set a hard max limit to the exported file's size, it tries to approximate what is set. Most of the time it will undershoot, but in some rare cases it will also produce images above the target.

i support this idea, I really need it for my e commerce photoshoots that requires a maximum file size to be uploaded to websites, the option shouldn’t be to adjust the quality by guessing because it gives a file size estimate but out of 100 files exported 20 are bigger than the estimate, 40 are fine and 40 are way lower and quality is highly affected. Lightroom gives you option to select an specific maximum file size and not even one file is higher than that and the smallest file is around -10%

Support this. I contribute to a variety of UK documentary websites and they all have size limitations. And with images with varying crop sizes it's not possible to do calculations based on long edge pixels for anything other than one or two images at a time. The only workaroud is to export to photomechanic and save from there.
